How Did We Go From ISTE to Canvas to Bamm-Bamm Barnabus Rubble?

Remember the Flintstones, the animated series about the modern family living in prehistoric times? Of course you do. What about Bamm-Bamm Rubble, the strongest toddler in the world and the adopted son of the Flintstones’ neighbors, Barney and Betty Rubble? Did you know his middle name is Barnabus? Yeah, neither did we.

ISTE
Bam! Bam! Bam!

At ISTE in Atlanta we paid homage to Bamm-Bamm in our own special way by giving away BamBams at our booth. As you can imagine, Canvas fans and converts were making all sorts of noise with them, but the noise didn’t stop there. There was a whole lot of good buzz about how Canvas is helping schools and districts all across the country. Just as our animated friends from the Stone Age began using tools to make their lives easier, so is Canvas making teaching and learning easier in the Digital Age.

So, now that those noisy noisemakers have gone quiet, here are a few highlights from one of our favorite conferences of the year.

  • With over 16,000 attendees at ISTE this year our booth was packed and demos were standing room only. We chatted with lots of fantastic educators and tech experts who are getting ready for the upcoming school year.

  • The ISTE keynotes and breakout sessions were extremely informative. Some of our favorites were the EdTekTalks and the fast-paced, rapid fire, Ignite Sessions.

  • The Twittersphere was on fire with love for Canvas.

  • But our favorite event by far was the client reception. Thank you to all our clients who stopped by to say hi. We always love hearing about the great ways you are using Canvas.

Yabba-Dabba-Doo! Another successful ISTE is in the books. See you next year in Philly for ISTE 2015. Maybe we’ll have Canvas kazoos for The Great Gazoo (but probably not).

Keep Learning,
Mike Kisow
