Pearson’s K-12 Technology Group Chooses Certica Solutions as ISV Partner

WAKEFIELD, Mass., May 22, 2012 – Certica Solutions, a leading provider of P-12 education performance management solutions, today announced that it has been selected by the K-12 Technology group of Pearson as a member of its Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Partner Program. Pearson, provider of the PowerSchool® student information system, created the ISV Program to form strategic relationships that allow Pearson and its partners to jointly bring functionality that logically extends PowerSchool to school districts nationwide.

Certify™, Certica’s hosted data validation service is a simple, cost-effective solution that automates and streamlines data validation, monitoring and correction on a continuous basis. Certify is designed to assist districts with the quality of their data by applying a battery of data validations, called the Certify Rule Library™, directly to the PowerSchool database to check for incomplete, inaccurate or inconsistent data. The Certify Rule Library contains data validations in high-impact data areas, including student demographics, enrollment, special programs, discipline and attendance. Through a simple, streamlined user experience, Certify provides daily notifications to district and school staff that identify specific data errors that need to be corrected in PowerSchool. Certify is used by PowerSchool districts across the country to help ensure the quality of district data by instituting a proactive data validation process that gives school staff the capability to take ownership for data accuracy, while giving district staff a way to measure and track data quality issues and trends over time.
