Meet Insights for Canvas Outcomes

Jared is VP of Higher Education Strategy for Instructure, makers of Canvas, the open learning platform. In this role, Jared engages with higher ed leaders and practitioners at colleges and universities around the world to figure out how technology can help education tear down barriers, build up learners, and inspire innovators. Before joining Instructure, Jared worked in higher education as a leader in online and blended teaching and learning for over a decade. Jared is also the author of Essentials for Blended Learning: A Standards-Based Guide, now in its second edition.

Joel Hernandez is the CTO of eLumen, where he has been an executive since it was commercialized from the Minnesota State system. He is a frequent speaker on assessment and competency-based ed technologies and is one of the architects of the 1EdTech CASE standard.

Shelby Johnson is the Director of Customer Development for eLumen and has been working with educational software for over ten years in training & development and customer success. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Educational Leadership from Concordia University, St. Paul.
