Hello, everyone. Welcome to our new and next webinar that is a follow on to the Instructure Partner Summit, which we held in Spokane, Washington earlier this summer. We hope that for those of you that weren't able to attend the event or those of you that are following up from the event, enjoy the content that we put together for you. We're gonna have, a keynote, that covers a number of different topics that are relevant to Instructure Partners, including a sneak peek into Canvas career. You'll hear from my colleague, Christy Lindell, about our product roadmap, assessment from, the assessment team, and co sell from my colleague, Hoon Bey. We hope that you enjoy.

Welcome to the twenty twenty five Instructure Partner Summit. Thank you so much for making the time. My name is Kevin Martin. I've been with Instructure since early twenty four when Parchment was acquired by Instructure. Before that, I was with Parchment for a little over a decade.

Over my time at Parchment, I had the opportunity to work with lots of great partners like the ones that you see on the screen here across k twelve and high ed in the US and outside the US. And it's just been a really great opportunity to work with each of them, and I'm thrilled to invite them into the broader Instructure partner ecosystem. During that time, we had the opportunity to work on brand and product consolidations, corporate acquisitions, supportive financial sponsors, and those are the types of activities that each of you as partners are working on, and I'm grateful to be able to work with you in the broader expanded capacity with the partner team here at Instructure. You know, partners make us better, and our partner community is an extensive global network that includes some of the best organizations in education. We've now surpassed over a thousand partners in the EdTech Collective, and they help Instructure bring phenomenal teaching and learning experiences to educators and students all around the world.

And for that, we're incredibly grateful to each of you. You have a lot on your mind. As we prepared for today's discussion and the conversations that we'll be having with partners throughout the year, we asked you what's on your mind, and the answer is a lot. The first was, what's your goal for the partner summit? What are you hoping to get out of this event? Networking with partners, connecting with Instructure, learning more about the pain points of the instructors that both of us work with. When it comes to future trends, you were really interested in how does evidence based procurement work, what's the shift around that's happening around innovation and AI.

We gotta talk a little bit about politics and funding and how does that impact the the stream of of revenue for you and your businesses. When we asked you what's going well with Instructure, I was thrilled to hear that the answer was the team, the people. Folks like Jeff and Maddie and Summer, a number of them were named by each of you and your responses to our survey. And really grateful to hear that our team is doing a phenomenal job and that they're representative of what we hope for in Instructure, which is a team that's supportive and engaged with each of you. A lot of things are going well with you, whether it's product market fit or your accessibility adoption with the investments that you've been making as you prepare for April of twenty twenty six.

It's great to hear that there are a number of things going well, but we also wanted to take a constructive view of ourselves and what could we be doing better. And so each of you shared some detail with us that you wanted to make sure that we were playing equally with each of you, the the adoption of LTI one dot three versus restful APIs, a technical item, but one that's important for you as you make decisions around capital investment and technology and how you direct your teams to work on different projects. And how do we start to think about post sell in a more meaningful way? And you'll hear more from my colleague Hoon about that in the future. And also there's some things that aren't going well for you. Small companies versus large companies in the market that's changing a lot today.

How do we think about retention from a product perspective as we're renewing contracts and then finding district research partners for those of you that are investing in evidence. There are a number of crosswinds that are on our minds as we're thinking about the education space over the next six to twelve months. Education funding is one. Policy changes that are occurring and the shift from degrees to skills and all the different work that we're seeing there, both in terms of investments that companies are making. Some of you are a part of this space and this shift, but also where priorities are changing for policymakers, for institutions, and for practitioners.

The great thing is though while there are some crosswinds that are before us, there are a lot of tailwinds that are propelling our partners forward. Our goal is to support AI growth within the ed tech sector in a responsible and meaningful way. And so we have some goals within our own organization to support that growth. We, as I noted earlier, have some goals around co sell for our partners to help bring alongside your products and services with our products and services to bring them directly to our mutual customers. And we are seeing a significant increase in LTI one dot three usage and adoption as well as API usage.

We have over seven hundred and fifty APIs with Canvas alone that generate between fifteen and twenty billion API transactions every single month, which is a testament to the open ecosystem that we have here in Instructure. And hopefully, this is helping you and your organization as you bring products and services to help improve teaching and learning around the world. I wanna take a little bit of time to walk through some on ramps or boarding routes to partner with Instructure. A number of you have partnered with us for a number of years, but some of you this might be new for, And it's really helpful to be refreshed in what are those ways that you as an organization can build deeper connection to Instructure to bring your products and services to teaching and learning throughout the world. The first I wanna high highlight is our innovation partner program.

Our product team will talk about this in greater detail later, but there's some meaningful ways that you can get connected to our new product development efforts here at at Instructure. The innovation partner program is by invitation from our product organization, but it's something that you should be keeping an eye on as future opportunities present themselves. The next is our Canvas integration partner tiers. It provides you with integration support, strategic support, some marketing support, and access to our partner success managers. And there are three tiers that I'll walk you through shortly.

And finally is those organizations that are college and career readiness solutions or those organizations that are issuing academic credentials on behalf of learners can become a Parchment Unified Inbox partner. A little bit more about the Parchment Unified Inbox partner program, there are organizations that issue transcripts and other academic credentials into the Parchment Receive Network. And this gives you access to those seven thousand plus receivers that are in admissions offices and companies around the world that are collecting academic credentials for application, admission, enrollment, and employment. It saves you from having to develop your own receiving tool to receive securely receive those academic credentials, but it also gives you access to a well known brand in Parchment and the received product. Canvas APIs, as I noted, is, is a solution that is used by hundreds of our, of our partners where they connect to the Canvas ecosystem.

Things like the assignments API, the submissions API, analytics API, and users and enrollments API really highlight the openness, superpower of Instructure. We secure every endpoint and work closely with partners and customers to verify and validate those integrations. This is a great way for you to deepen your integration into Instructure and bring your products to students and teachers around the world. Our Canvas integration partners have three types, the integration tier, the certified tier, and the professional tier. Wanna celebrate and highlight a number of of our partners in the certified and professional tier organizations like Keyalo and Cidi Labs, Copyleaks, Packback, Poll Everywhere.

These organizations have made significant investments in their technical integrations with Canvas in order to bring the best teaching and learning experience to students and educators around the world. Our innovation partner program was developed to drive core innovation within the Canvas product with partners who are developing significant and innovative solutions. It gives early access to innovation for our, educators and learners and then also streamlines engagement for early stage companies that wanna have greater connection with our product organization. We look for organizations that are early stage or more mature organizations that are innovative. We look for strategic alignment bet between our organizations as well as ensuring that your organization has the tactical readiness and resource commitment to meet the needs of the fast paced innovative, innovation partner program.

Some other boarding routes to consider at Instructure are for our evidence partners. Those that are looking if you are running into solicitations and RFPs that are acquiring evidence, we are making some investments there that we think are very meaningful for you, like in our Instructure Research Network. Christy will dive into this in a little bit more detail later on, but the IRN unlocks value for partners through accessing k twelve districts that instructors partnered with for research studies more quickly leading to faster results and reporting when demands are increasing for evidence. And lastly, our solution partners are organizations that actually look to instructure products, Things like the mastery item bank, if you're a content provider, or the elevate standards alignment solution that ensures content and assessment meets state standards. For those organizations that are investing in evidence, maybe you've already done an ESSA level four badge, and now you're looking to level up and do ESSA level three or two.

You can see a number of those organizations that have made this investment, in twenty twenty five. And since twenty twenty two, we've done nearly three hundred evidence studies on behalf of organizations throughout throughout our partner ecosystem and nearly fifty year to date. Our mastery item bank is designed for formative and classroom use. Instructors Instructure delivers the mastery item bank directly to institutions through our mastery product experience, but partners get to license that item bank and package it in their own solution to bring it to their customers. A couple other boarding routes to partner with Instructure include our co sell program, which Hoon is gonna go to in more detail shortly, so I won't steal Hoon's thunder there.

We also have a number of products on the horizon, which I'll highlight in more detail, including Canvas Career and our Canvas Solution Partners. Our Canvas Solution Partners are organizations that actually license Canvas to deliver their products and their training experiences and their professional development to our mutual customers. So leveraging Canvas allows you to build individual training courses and complete professional development pathways and deliver to your customers in an LMS that they're comfortable with and likely very familiar with. Over eighty seven percent of companies know they'll have a skills gap within the next five years, and seventy five percent are struggling to find talent that meets their needs. That's why we're starting to spend a lot more time looking into the business and government space where organizations have greater demands for learning management systems.

There is an increasing emphasis on skills over degrees, and employers have identified the workforce skills gap as the biggest barrier to their business transformation. As the professional skills gap is growing, the learning institutions of the future are adapting curriculum and engagement to enroll and retain learners with nontraditional goals, schedules, and backgrounds. And so I'm excited to share with you a little bit more detail about the new product that we're launching alongside Canvas Academic, Canvas Career. Let me show that video to you now. Introducing Canvas Career, a new LMS experience built on the backbone of Canvas, specifically designed for businesses, governments, and continuing education organizations alike.

Canvas Career helps organizations scale their learning programs without sacrificing personalization or control. To create a learning program, simply select and upload your source material, and Ignite AI automatically creates your learning content from courses to structured programs, mapped to relevant workforce skills. The Content Library organizes all of your learning assets, natively built and external alike. From here, you can easily make changes that sync across all your courses. Once finalized, you can assign the program to learners or enroll automatically by role or department.

Get the insights you need with a dashboard board that tracks real time progress, engagement, and skill development. Ignite AI surfaces alerts and recommends actions, helping you stay ahead of the trends and learner needs. From their dashboard, learners can easily track their learning progress. In platform messaging keeps them engaged with scalable communication and coaching. Learners can interact with content by creating personal notes and getting real time support from Ignite AI.

In SkillSpace, learners can see their progress towards skills in real time. Based on their performance and progression, they'll see content recommendations to keep learning relevant and continuous. Dynamic learning, real world outcomes, scalable impact. Get started today with Canvas Career. So that was super exciting.

What's the timeline for Canvas career? As you know, we've announced Canvas career at the Partner Summit and InstructureCon. The early adopter program is closed, and our new business and government customers are beginning to sign up for Canvas Career in q three of twenty five. And existing k twelve and high ed institutions begin to sign up in q four of twenty five. General availability of Canvas career will come in January. And then as a partner, you might be asking, well, when do I start to think about LTI and API access to Canvas career? And that will become available in q one of twenty five, and we'll be keeping you up to date on that throughout the rest of our discussion and time as we are launching Canvas career.

And this is the time that I'll now pass off to my colleague, Christie, to share more about the product road map. Thanks so much, Kevin. Hi, everybody. I'm Christie Lindell. I lead our Canvas portfolio, product team and really excited to share with you what's happening with our r and d team and our product road map.

So to talk about all things product, what we're working on, what we're what's coming next, and to, make sure that we are translating that for what's most relevant for you, our valued partners. It's myself and Dana are going to be walking through our road map today. So, I know that my first opportunity to speak at the partner summit was three years ago. And at that time, we were really just talking about some basics. We were talking about how do we, from a product perspective, increase the visibility of our partners' products.

How do we better support the integrated experience through better support of LTI one point three? And then how do we just grow the impact that our partners are having, within education and with our institution customers? And so I'm really excited about the progress that we've made, and the things that we are, looking when we look at look back at what we've accomplished, feeling really, proud of our teams, about the progress that we've made. So if we look at what's, been happening since last year, we really focused on a number of things. Number one, strengthening and streamlining integrations. So, live and in production is the new Canvas apps that really helps institutions and administrators, Canvas admins, find your products, be able to really seamlessly and easily be able to install and configure, the LTI, integration with your product. And then finally, for the first time, administrators are able to see the usage and really manage and optimize the adoption of your tools right within Canvas.

We're supporting dynamic registration. We're enabling AI integrations, whether those are native AI products or, AI, features that you're introducing in your products. We're absolutely focused on increasing the visibility and adoption of your products. So whether it's making nutrition facts or the way that AI is used available, inclusion in the AI marketplace, making sure that your products, by managing your product listings in the partner portal, are coming to life for learn platform customers on the public Edco marketplace or in Canvas apps right within the Canvas experience. We're improving our partner, product connections.

So we hired two fabulous developer relations, managers last year. Auburn and Julian are our developer relations team dedicated to helping you, our partners. They hold, regular monthly office hours, and, they are working to, really just help our partners and also listen to our partners. They're the conduit. So when you have needs, when you have ideas, when you have opportunities, go to your developer relations, person, and they will bring that forward, to the product teams.

So we're not the only ones that have been busy. You've also been busy. We know that you've announced a lot of great things with your own products, with your own road maps, and, introduce new products to the market. We also, announced, the Canvas certified integration last year, and, that is a way for you to show the level and the quality of the integration that you've committed to within the Canvas experience. And we are so excited to have our first five partners who have achieved, certification.

And we actually have two more partners that we're almost ready to announce, and so we're really excited about that. So thanks for your your early adopters, and we're gonna continue to see this grow. Our Canvas, administrators are telling us that this is a valued badge and a valued commitment that they are using. That is an indicator of quality of integration, and, also, what that means is the quality of your product. So commitment to privacy, accessibility, security, and all of the the things that, administrators are looking for in, products today.

So with that, what are we gonna talk about? We're gonna talk about a few things. We're gonna help to continue to build the transparency and insight and strategic alignment with all of you so you can understand what the the infrastructure roadmap looks like. We're gonna highlight some innovations that are gonna help continue to fuel your growth, and then we're gonna talk a little bit about what's next. How are we continuing to build collaboration, with and for our partners, across our ecosystem. So, I wanna start first by thinking about what is a product strategy and why does that matter.

And, really, one new thing that the, r and d team has done is we step back, especially because we have a brand new financial partner in KKR, and that's offered us the opportunity to think about our road map in a longer term view. So when we formed the KKR partnership, they actually, looked at our, investor plan and our our long range plan, and they said, yep. We absolutely believe in this. We wanna invest in this. And so let's really define what the five year vision looks like.

What are the business objectives, and what are the business strategies? And what are some of those strategic initiatives and pillars that are gonna ground it. So we actually took that and from a product perspective said, we also want to make sure that we have a long range view of our product road map across our entire platform. And we wanna define what that destination looks like and where we're headed because the road map is just that. It's a def it's a definition of the destination of where you're headed and where you wanna go. Of course, every day, we learn something new.

And so the path that we might take, the features we might develop will continue to evolve. But as long as we know exactly where we're headed and what that ultimate destination looks like, that is, what's most important. So we've defined three destinations for ourselves and where we want to arrive between now and twenty twenty nine. The first destination is focused on making sure that not only Canvas, but Instructure is the platform and the learning constant for learners, whether that's in, like, early stage, k, early elementary, primary, all the way up through career. We know that learning doesn't stop when you've earned a degree.

It absolutely continues, and we know that, skills are evolving at a fast pace. And so making sure that we are the place that learning happens, that teaching and learning happens, no matter where a learner is in their journey is absolutely, paramount. Second, we wanna make sure that we're continuing to ignite the operating system for education. So making sure we are the most trusted, innovative platform where the next generation of ed tech continues to be built. This is leveraging unparalleled data, global reach, and our important, partnership, ecosystem that we have all working together.

And then the final destination is really being the bridge between learning and earning. So we, of course, have with the Parchment, capabilities as now part of the Instructure family as well as credentials. We know that credentials, badges, degrees, and certifications come in various forms. And we wanna make sure that not only we are awarding those credentials, but we're sharing them, and they're portable, and they're valued by the, the people, the programs, and the organizations that need them and connecting the people to the opportunity. So So you're gonna see continue to see a lot of opportunities and investments there.

The other thing that you'll note, is we will have some key outcomes, and so we've established some goals for ourselves. We're looking at how many students are we engaged and are actively using our platform, and we're gonna continue to identify some other key metrics that make this a reality. Beyond that, we also know that we have a road map, and we continue to evolve that road map. And we're looking at a cohesive road map across our platform, not a product specific road map. And so you can see those lines are gonna come together more seamlessly.

And I think the important thing to know is you're gonna see some really visible, focused areas between now and InstructureCon for next year. So focus on the learner at the center and the learning experience, building AI first and building our new capabilities with AI first in mind, is absolutely gonna be, visible. And then making sure that it's a continued unified experience all the way from the back end and the data to the experience for the user no matter which product they're using. And that also includes our partners and the way that your products, are, integrated and come to life and, for our customers for our shared customers. Okay.

So now I'm gonna transition into what's happening now in the road map. We update and have been communicating in twenty twenty five according to six key themes. So I'm gonna give you a little bit, of information and Dana as well, on each one of these, give you a highlight of what we've been working on, what's available now, and what's coming next. So let's jump right into AI. Leveraging AI for focused on educator efficiency and student success.

So we all know that the pace of AI development is incredibly fast right now. This brings some amazing new opportunities. It also creates some complexities. It can feel like a lot to keep up with, and so at least everybody wondering how do we navigate this effectively and efficiently. So we talked with educators and administrators to find out what their biggest concerns and needs are regarding AI.

As you can see, the top challenges are things like fairness, ethics, institutional risk, followed by concerns about accuracy and reliability. And then, of course, faculty buy in adoption, are all continued challenges. We know that, this shows us that unlocking the true premise of AI is more than just having the right technology. It's also about having the right support. The support needed according to education educators is helping to frame AI as a tool to assist, not replace educators, and we've taken all of this to heart when building our solution.

So the overwhelm, that institutions are feeling right now can be compounded by the AI landscape. And we hear this a lot. Wrangling AI at an institution feels hard. And, you know, I think I think that's because, you could probably break it down and think about it. There are big AI models, general purpose LLMs, whether it's Chachi, BT, Gemini, Copilot, Claude.

They're all powerful and widely available, and they're starting to think about how to build purpose built for education. But, generally, they're not built, for the classroom and knowing how that works, and that's where our expertise comes in. And there's often, there's a lot. The new EdTech top forty noted that there's almost three thousand tools on average being used in k twelve school districts, in this past school year. So that just means managing, EdTech and all the tools that are coming, all the new features, and how to make really great decisions is a continued challenge.

So whether that's AI functionality and existing products or new products coming to market. And then, we know that institutions are building their own LLMs, whether it's for, managing their data and data dashboards and, decision making or they're building their own tools. There's just a lot going on, that we have to just build empathy and understanding for as we're bringing our products to market. So we took all of this into consideration, and that's exactly where we are excited to announce Ignite AI. We're building a secure in context AI solution just for education.

Our approach is to create an orchestrated AI ecosystem that includes both native in product solutions and partnership with, leading tools and, important, Edco partners like yourselves. So the way it helps is twofold. First of all, institutions instantly get access to ready to go AI solutions right inside of our own products. And secondly, we're building Ignite AI to seamlessly connect with all of your tools. And so we prided ourselves on being the most open and connected ecosystem in education, and we're truly excited to bring the same incredible power of AI in that same environment.

And so we'd like to think of Ignite AI as the conductor, and so let's talk about a little bit about why. Think of the platform as the central hub where AI can be woven into every, part of an institution's work. We have over five hundred APIs, related to supporting AI, which are, at, everyone's fingertips, like tiny powerful connections that allow AI to work seamlessly across different areas of Canvas. That means AI can help with everything from quizzes and outcomes to discussions and even smart search. And we built AI, Ignite AI, and three key ideas that we believe will make a real difference in classrooms.

Number one, confidence. We wanna we want institutions to feel comfortable and be in control of technology. We've designed Ignite AI to be consistent and a guided experience that's a natural part of the daily workflow. We wanted to make sure that effective adoption is enabled, not just adding a new button here and there. We're integrating, Ignite into tools that feel like a seamless part of, an educator's workflows.

And then we're making sure that we're adding education value. So we've listened to feedback. We're focused on creating features and tackling first, focused on, those time consuming tasks that make make much of the day and allowing educators to really outsource to AI a lot of the mundane tasks that they spend their time on today so they can focus on what they do best, which is teaching. So Ignite AI will deliver tons of meaningful use cases aimed at improving student achievement, educator impact, and institutional, effectiveness. And these are just some of the categories, of value that we have and will continue to bring, to our customers.

And this road map shows what's currently available, what's in our early adopter program, and what's in the work. So you can see a number of things that are generally available now. And if you focus in on the partner side, there are a couple of important notes. We are working on our MCP strategy and enabling the way that our valued partners can integrate with the Ignite agent and more seamlessly using the latest and greatest integration methods. So more to come on that very soon.

Okay. So let's transition, to the next theme, strengthening an open and effective learning ecosystem. We've got a lot going on here both to help institutions to manage their edtech ecosystems as well as as for you, our partners, to make sure that your products are seamlessly integrated and highly visible, to the institutions that we serve together. So what's new? I I'll just note that there's a number of things here that we've just recently brought, to the market, and I'm gonna touch on a few of these, in a little more detail. First is Canvas apps.

We've been working on this. This shouldn't be new to you, but we have developed the new Canvas apps capabilities right there for Canvas admins, so they can discover, install, manage, and monitor all of their LTI tools. And it, improves above and beyond what I do, app center provides today, and it makes sure that there's support for the latest LTI one point three tools as that is the latest in interoperability standards. So what does it mean for you? Maximizing your benefits, making sure that your profiles and the way that your products are presented in the Canvas apps experience is critical. So go to the partner app, make sure that your product profiles are complete, make sure that, they are up to date and that they really are containing the information that administrators want, to ensure that they can make the best decisions, about the tools that they're gonna adopt and use.

We also have live, you probably already know, a developer documentation portal. It's available for all integrators, and it goes beyond just the Canvas LMS. And it makes sure that it's the centralized hub for even greater, usability and functionality so developers can fully leverage all of our openness and extensibility. And there is an AI capability, so you can easily find, according to the topic that you are looking for. So if you haven't checked out the new portal, definitely encourage your, technical teams to do so.

Now we are also very excited to be launching the Instructure Research Network. We know that many of you are committed to showing the outcomes that your products are producing, with customers, with institutions. And so making sure that we are connecting institutions to our partners, is important. We also know one of the challenges when you're building research, is actually getting, institutions, and districts, and higher ed, organizations to opt in. So we are getting the institutions directly involved, opting in to say, yes.

I wanna be part of that research network. So then when you have study opportunities, we can connect you right to the people who have raised their hand. So the first step in this is, recruiting and getting it started on the institution side. And in the coming months, we will be rolling out more about how you can get involved. Okay.

So what's next? A number of things. You can see the list there, and we're gonna just jump into a little bit more detail. First is the asset processor. This is a new specification that came to market, a couple of years ago, and we really have been working on how do we include, and support this new standard so that documents can be seamlessly processed without needing to leave the Canvas experience. But they can go to a third party, whether that's for, plagiarism detection or some sort of AI use case.

There's a lot of really, good needs, to make sure that we are, seamlessly supporting this new standard together with you, our partners, who have tools, whether it's video captioning, translation, or or AI. So we can asynchronously, process students submitted work without requiring the student to launch your separate tool. So this is coming, soon. Should be in the next, few months, and so look for more information on that. Also coming to Canvas apps is the ability for administrators to manage down to the course and the subaccount level.

So that just means they have more flexibility when they're adopting and configuring, the use of virtual in their institution. It just gives them the flexibility that they are looking for. There are also some plan enhancements to the monitor tab. So this is the LTI usage, but it's giving, for those that also use impact, it's giving them some premium functionality so they can take action to improve the adoption. So whether that's messaging, inactive users, low usage alerts, and other things, that really just makes it easy for that administrator to optimize, the adoption of specific tools that they care about.

A change in our Canvas API that some of you may use is worth, highlighting. The page view API endpoint, beginning in q three will only return data from the last thirty days. So there is no limit on that data today. And so just managing our data flow, and capacity, we are, going to be offering a different way to get historical page view data. So if this, impacts any of your integrations, just a heads up that you should reach out to developer relations, to find out more.

And then the other thing on the data side is I wanted to say we are very excited to be bringing new quizzes data, to CD two. So new quizzes data will be available for our customers to access through CD two, and we are working on the plan, to support this with an API over time. So many of you, our partners, could also benefit from getting those added, data to, support your, product integrations. And so, excited to bring this additional dataset, to all of you. And then finally, just, thinking about your product profiles, make sure that you are attaching any VPATs, accessibility links, and HECVAT links to your profiles in the partner portal.

And we're working toward visibility, as we know that accessibility and security and privacy is is paramount for administrators as they're reviewing tools. Okay. So with that, we're gonna move along, to the third theme, which is really supporting that lifelong learner journey. Kevin already gave you a preview to our brand new product and brand new LMS experience that we launched at InstructureCon called Canvas Career. And what I wanted to do was just highlight what it means for our partners.

So it is a brand new product. It's just coming to market, and it's meeting the highest priority needs of our continued ad and career market, customers. It's built off the same back end as Canvas Academic, but it does have some front end differences and new back end services to support it. So that means that it's built with the same, LTI placements and the same, API integrations infrastructure strategy. And at initial launch, Career will support three LTI placements and a number of the Canvas APIs.

So that just means that, whether you are looking to adopt and use career to deliver your solution or you're looking to integrate into career because this fits nicely with your, product, value prop and the customers that you serve. Both, offer you a pathway. So reach out to your partner manager, and they will, give you more information about what it might mean for you. So now let's talk about how we're innovating for the teaching and learning experience. We have a lot of things that are new, both for Canvas as well as for intelligent insights products.

Definitely encourage you to check them out, you know, modernizing, the back end of SpeedGrader in order for us to bring, you know, better support large courses and to bring new capabilities to life is, one exciting, change that we've made as well as, many of you will be interested in things like differentiation tags, which are really like, hidden groups, that allow personalization for the instructors, and a number of other really great things that are coming to life. So definitely encourage you to watch the k twelve or the higher ed new and next, for more details on those features. What I wanna focus on is giving you a little preview of what's coming after that. So we're focused on a number of things, and I'm gonna highlight just a few for you. So number one is, focusing on the learner.

We talked earlier that the learner experience is become becoming even more important for us to make sure that learners, are supported, that they know exactly what they need to do, where their where their need to go next. They see a view across their courses, and they're able to collaborate with each other and, really be in close communication with their instructors. And so we're excited to bring enhanced course progressions for learners. So we're looking at that modules experience and really providing a better experience for the learners so they know exactly where they are within their course, what they need to do next, the progress that they've made, and they can celebrate, and they can keep on learning. Based on, like I said, we rebuilt, the service to support SpeedGrader and the grading, the SpeedGrader experience.

And so that's gonna enable us to be able to do something that our that our customers have wanted for a long time, which is support concurrent grading. So more on that coming soon. That is currently in development. Another change has been, we have, selected to deepen our partnership with YouTube, and we will be bringing the YouTube, media player for education to Canvas Studio. So that enables an accessible and distraction free experience for, Canvas Studio users when they are using and integrating with YouTube players within their, courses.

Alright. Then, the the fifth theme I'm gonna focus on is how are we helping administrators? You know, they are spending a lot of their time ensuring that their ad tech ecosystem is secure and private and compliant and accessible for all their users. And so, we are excited, about a number of things that we are bringing to our customers. And I would say the the spotlight and the thing that we are most, thrilled to announce is that, for at Instructure, accessibility is not a compliance or a requirement or a box that we check. It is a way of life and a commitment that we have to our users.

And so we can make sure that we're providing the same teaching and learning opportunities to everyone that's using our products. So to that end, we're thrilled to announce, that a number seven of our products and, core solutions have earned WCAG two point two double a compliance, and we have released those VPATs to our customers. We, are gonna continue to build more and more, for our customers, and we are committed to having by next summer by next year all of our the Instructure products meeting that same level of compliance. We also encourage you to make the same commitment. Many of you already are, but it is becoming a a way of, expectation in doing business.

And so committing to a universal design for learning as well as accessibility in all of our product experience is important. So what's next? We've also found with the increased, focus on accessibility that we've needed to expand the foundational, capabilities that we offer to, to educators and to our administrators in Canvas. So today, we have an accessibility checker that is available for the RCE and at the page view. We are working to bring that up to the course level, and, we're excited to, expand that current accessibility checker up to the course level. This is coming soon to an early adopter program, in the next month or so, to our Canvas customers.

And it's just gonna offer more robust options, you know, to verify pages, images, assessment items, and the accessibility of those across courses. And then with that, I'm, excited to turn over the last theme, to Dana, and she's gonna talk to you more about how we're powering the stages of the assessment cycle. Thanks, Christie. Hi. My name is Dana Okerlund.

I'm the director of assessment over our assessment software products, and I'm so excited to get to chat with you today. We all know that assessment isn't just a moment. It's woven into every part of teaching and learning. So let's take a look at where we're evolving our tools to support that full life cycle with a special focus on what matters most to you, our partners. I'm really enthusiastic and excited about our upcoming releases and vision for the assessment for assessment ad in structure.

So let's jump right on in. For our Canvas customers, capturing what a learner knows and can do is essential. We're really excited to introduce a new built in feature, Canvas Portfolios. Launching in feature preview on July thirty first, Canvas Portfolios lets students collect, reflect on, and showcase their work across courses, experiences, and time. Portfolio support both instructor assigned evaluations and student created showcases, all aligned to competencies.

Educators can tie portfolios to course assignments or broader multiyear projects, like a design student building a four year progression portfolio. It's a powerful step toward making learning visible, authentic, and student centered. Christie touched on our asset processor work, and here's how it connects to assessment. It's all about exam integrity. Not only are we supporting the latest and greatest standard, but we're detecting AI usage and authenticity of content.

This supports SpeedGrader and lets students submit assignments directly to Canvas to be checked with discussions coming soon. Plagiarism detection makes it easy to maintain fair grading standards, and AI detection will help students learn to use AI effectively and appropriately. We're doubling down on strengthening the foundation of new quizzes while boldly building for the future. These updates are closing the gap with classic and unlocking new possibilities. Numerical formatting can now be customized at the account level to support regional and institutional preferences.

This is key for resolving the dot the decimal comma thousand separator issue that made quizzes feel best suited for certain regions and not for others. Surveys are on the way. This feature will allow for anonymous student feedback, a top request from classic quizzes. Item authoring assistance utilizes AI to help educators generate aligned questions faster and more efficiently. These updates meet today's needs and set us up to support the next wave of assessments in Canvas.

Mastery Connect and Learnosity have been longtime partners, and now we're expanding that relationship to bring world class assessment capabilities natively into Canvas, powering the future of new quizzes. This means re richer item types across all subjects, especially STEM, plus AI powered features like authoring, translation, and more. We have plans to remove the LTI front end so integrations are deeper and cleaner. We've heard your feedback on assessment gaps, on integration friction, and this partnership is key to our solution. For partners already integrated with Learnosity, no extra lift.

Your tools will connect directly with quizzes as we upgrade the experience. We're testing all of this now on our alpha labs with real customers, real integrations, and we'll move to our early adopter program in twenty twenty six. We'd love to partner with you all early. So what I I hope you take away from this is that the future of quizzes is bright. Our foundation is stronger than ever, and we're building with purpose.

We're taking a dual path approach, iteratively enhancing new quizzes with better features, data access, and usability, while also investing heavily through our learnosity partnership and alpha lab where we can innovate boldly, test rigorously, and codevelop with partners and customers. Key work like data integration with DAP or CD two and our broader tech modernization efforts are what make all of this possible, bringing both tracks together into one seamless experience as we delight our customers. Let's shift the conversation from quizzes to elevate standards alignment. We are thrilled about an out an upcoming release set for q four, Crosswalk AI. Partners will now be able to efficiently load their existing alignment data into our platform, reducing onboarding time and manual effort.

This feature will help overcome current transition barriers and ease the data my the data maintenance process. And now we'll hand it over to our partners team to chat a little bit about what's coming next. Hello, everyone. I am excited to talk to you about all things you need to know about co sell partnerships at Instructure. So my name is Hoon Bey.

I am the director of business development for co sell at Instructure. I have ten years of experience as an EdTech partnerships leader, and I'm currently leading Instructure's co sell partner program. So before diving into, the what of co sell, I wanna kind of highlight the power of co selling with Instructure. It provides several key benefits. So first of all, you gain access to our extensive global customer base.

Your brand credibility is enhanced through association with Instructure. And by co selling with us, we offer a seamless user experience for customers with our integrated solutions. And then co selling with us also allows for, joint code to market collaboration. And then lastly, you can accelerate your sales cycle by leveraging Instructure's existing contracts. So what exactly is co sell? So co sell at Instructure means basically a joint go to market partnership where Instructure's go to market teams sell approved partner products directly to customers using Instructure's contract.

And then the revenue is then shared with our partners. This year, we're launching a new iteration of the COSAL partner program. We launched it for the first time last year. We definitely saw the true potential of co selling with our partners, but also identify key areas that we wanna improve. So we've made some important up to improvements to optimize pipeline generation and increase revenue and build stronger partnerships.

So with that, we first focused on improving our incentives to make it more worthwhile for our go to market teams to sell partner solutions. And then second of all, we're raising the bar for quality control. So this means, making sure that our partner solutions meet the same high technical privacy, security, accessibility, and evidence standards as our own products that our customers expect And then lastly, every COSA Partner solution will now go through a thorough internal review by a cross functional committee from our product, sales, customer success, and privacy and security teams. And this is all to ensure that all the internal and structured go to market teams that are involved in co selling your products are basically giving that stamp of approval, and that they're confident in the strong product market fit of your product, and that they will, do everything that they they can to successfully, co sell your partner product or your products. So with the new iteration of the co sell partner program, we're introducing, two different co sell partner tiers, that you can choose based on how it fits to your growth growth strategy.

So the first, coast the first tier is basically the co sell authorized tier. This think of this as a pull model type of co sell partnership, meaning solutions are sold when customers ask for them. Partners in this tier are approved to sell through our contract, and the standard revenue share split is twenty eighty. So twenty for Instructure and eighty for the partner. In terms of marketing support and sales support, partners receive, everything from a listing in a Canvas apps page or a tech collective marketplace, along with, being included in the structure led, sales opportunities and our response to RFPs.

The second tier is the co sell preferred tier. Think of this as more of a push model type of partnership, where we are jointly marketing and selling, your products to our customers. Partners in this tier will work directly with our go to market teams on joint planning, sales plays, and co marketing. And the revenue share is a fifty fifty split or a flat fee per unit sold model. What's important to know about our revenue share model here is that, the revenue share portion, becomes quota relief credit for our sales reps.

And then the revenue share portion also becomes pipeline generation credit for our customer success team. So this is the way in which they are incentivized. In terms of the flat fee per unit sold model, what this means is basically Instructure and the partner is agree agreeing upon a certain flat fee that Instructure pays out to the partner per unit of your product sold to customers. What this could look like is essentially, we could be banding it by FTE bands. So for a certain FTE band, paying a certain flat fee, and then the next band, another flat fee.

So that's just an example of how that could be structured. What's interesting to note about the flat fee per unit sold model is that instead of the revenue share portion becoming quarterly relief or pipeline generation credit, the entire deal size becomes the quota relief credit and then pipeline generation credit, credit for our go to market teams. This tier also includes all the support you get from the authorized tiers in terms of marketing and sales, plus, additional such as, joint marketing campaigns, live webinars, and the ability to directly engage with our sales and customer success teams on, collaborating on specific sales opportunities. So to ensure the best experience for our customers, partners must go through a rigorous vetting process. So, essentially, we are approving the most customer ready solutions for co sell.

There are eight steps to become eligible for co selling with Instructure, which I will go through to the next slides. The first step is to enroll in and maintaining either the certified tier for co sell authorized, or the professional tier for COSL preferred within our integration partner program. These tiers essentially provide you with the support to get your solution ready for COSL. Next, you'll need to pass our privacy and security assessment. We highly recommend having an active SOC two type two report or an ISOS two seven zero zero one certification.

Next, you also must have obtained a Canvas certified integration. So this includes an LTI one dot three integration or a relevant API integration with an Instructure product. The intention here is to really signal to our customers that your product seamlessly integrates, with an Instructure product so that they can provide that seamless customer experience. Step four, if applicable, you'll need to provide a valid valid SL level four or level three certificate issued within the last four years. This is also intended to signal, to make, to show the efficacy of product to, driving, student learning outcomes.

Next, your solution must support, WCAG two point one or two point two level a acceptability standards. In step six, you'll need to maintain a required sponsorship level such as a silver or gold or above at InstructureCon or relevant regional event. A regional event meaning if we are focused on co selling on other markets outside of North America this would be this would apply. The intention here is to really leverage in these Instructure led events to drive visibility and pipeline for your product. So once all your the requirements are met and your, your solution will be, evaluated for the two different co sell tiers, whether we evaluate and decide to, put your product on the authorized tier or the preferred tier.

This evaluation process, as mentioned before, will be evaluate evaluated by our internal cross functional teams. Please allow for thirty to sixty days for a decision to be made. Upon approval, you will be we'll be working on agreeing on the co sell terms. So this includes the revenue share split and terms for our implementation, support, and renewals. The final step is the co sell launch.

Once we sign the agreement, your solution is approved and ready for co sell. So that was a lot of information. If you are interested in co selling with us, the best way to learn more is to contact your assigned SBA or PS, partner success manager to get started, or you can actually sign up online as well. If you go on to the Instructure website and our partner website, there is a partner with us form that you can fill out.
