How Intelvio built a clear path from one certification to the next
Big certifications feel out of reach when candidates can't see the road to get there. Intelvio, a healthcare training academy, solved for that by mapping its programs into stackable pathways with Canvas Career. Candidates start with shared foundational courses, then choose their next step, whether that's stopping at one certification or building toward another. Here's how they made career growth feel like a series of achievable steps instead of one big leap.
We have been in a way strategic on how we're developing our programs and I'll give you sort of an example. We have our medical assistant, our medical administrative assistant. They start the journey at the same place. They're gaining those skills in the very same, they're taking the same courses. So the way we have developed these programs is for them to be able to start that journey together. Once they get to be able to say, Okay, now I'm able to get my medical administrative assistant, those who want to continue then just take another set of courses.
And so now we're able to say, we're not separating these programs but they're pathways. They're able to say, okay, I want to continue and get now my clinical medical assistant certification. And now they have two. Now they have medical administrative assistant, but they also take few more courses and be able to get their They can build on it that way. Build on it, yeah.
And it's like how can we do that and build those pathways for them where the learner owns that as they are gaining those skills and understanding, maybe I want to stop right here but still have that opportunity to get certified or maybe they want to move forward. And I wanna say that the same thing happened. A lot of our phlebotomy technician students, can move to their medical assistant, the clinical medical assistant. So we're trying to get these parallel components that at the same time are going to allow them to go into different pathways and that's gonna allow us to grow our curriculum, our program, our offerings, but also give them more opportunities as well. Are those pathways formally mapped? So if I can't, I could see how like if I take these then I can go with this? Correct.
Yes. There. That's how we sort of programmatically design our programs and we've been very intentional with that. And also this strategy is also helping learners feel very, the learning is feeling very achievable. It's broken down.
It is, you know, get to here, this is your next step and this is your next step. It's not one of those where like, oh, how am I gonna even get there? This is, you know. Yeah. It's not this huge thing. It's bite sized chunks of Bite sized. That is correct. That is correct.
