Many of you have reached out for more information on the role of the CEO within Instructure. I know there are specific questions about how decisions are being made currently and what will happen in the future.
Good news, we kicked off our search last week for a new CEO. We are working with a talented search firm that has placed a number of CEOs and other key executives in edtech companies. They know our industry well. Each member of the Instructure executive team, of which I am a part, have met with the firm and shared the unique and critical capabilities we hope to see in our new CEO. We want to ensure we find someone that is committed to our mission, aligns to our culture, fully understands the global education industry, and that can drive a prosperous, thriving business well into the future.
In the meantime, your Instructure executive team is leading the company as the Office of the CEO. This team includes myself, Mitch Benson (Chief Product Officer), Matt Kaminer (Chief Legal Counsel), Frank Maylett (EVP of Sales), Marta DeBellis (Chief Marketing Officer), and Jeff Weber (EVP of People & Places). I can promise you we are not waiting for a new CEO to make timely, key decisions. Ensuring that we continue to offer innovative solutions and support to our customer base continues to be a focus and is a key priority for the company.
I promise to share more related to our search as we get closer to finding the best leader for Instructure. In the meantime, my door is always open, so keep sending me all of your great ideas, questions, and feedback.
