Congratulations to the Canvas 2020 Student Scholarship Winners!

Throughout all of the changes and challenges this year, we continue to be amazed by students’ ability to adapt, connect, overcome, and prosper. It’s inspiring to see how educators and students alike have used Canvas to not only keep the learning going, but the relationships, collaboration, and innovation as well. Beyond the technology, we know the real learning magic happens when educators foster students’ creativity and support their growth.

To celebrate our student community and contribute to a culture of lifelong learning, we were proud to continue our favorite tradition this year: The Canvas Student Scholarship Contest! Each year, we award outstanding students with a financial reward to support them in the next phase of their learning journey.

This year, students were invited to submit a video via social media using the hashtag “#CanvasNoteToSelf” explaining what they’d tell their younger selves about the most important lessons they’ve learned thus far, and how Canvas has supported these lessons along the way.

Educators were also invited to nominate and advocate for students by submitting a video explaining how their student has demonstrated learning an important life lesson in their academics using Canvas.

Today, we are proud to announce and recognize four K–12 students as the winners of our $25,000 “Note to Self” student scholarship contest! We invite you to check out the winning submissions below and learn more about their inspiring stories.
