Ensure Compliance and Evidence in Your Edtech.

The right edtech can have a huge impact on teaching and learning - and with recent state legislation, compliance has never been so important in Ohio. Drive informed decisions and make sure your educators, students, and communities know what's available, safe, and working in your context.

Meet OH Student Data Privacy Law Requirements

The Ohio Student Data Privacy Act, also known as SB29, prohibits online education services from disclosing student educational records or amassing profiles of student data for non-educational purposes. It also requires the deletion of data in certain instances.

With this being said, SB29 mandates educators and school service providers within the state of Ohio take various steps and measures to protect the personal data and privacy of their respective students.

With LearnPlatform, you can:

Build your district’s app vetting processes.

Gather usage information, uncover the use of unapproved edtech, and build an inventory of edtech tools in use.

Promote student data privacy compliance by communicating to families and staff what is safe and approved for district-wide use.

LearnPlatform gives us a single place for staff to view evaluations of, compare and request edtech products, and for staff and parents to know what edtech products are approved for use and compliant with current privacy standards.
