Fast Facts
2008 - Founded: Instructure got its “Inc.” and became a real-deal tech startup.
2011 - Canvas launched, disrupting the LMS status quo for better and forever.
2014 - International expansion: We opened offices in London, Sydney, and São Paulo.
2017 - Crossed 1B: Instructure hit the $1 billion market cap. Confetti ensued.
2019 - Mastery acquired: We acquired Mastery, the leading assessment management platform. We also reached (and quickly exceeded) 30 million users.
2023 - 2M members: The Instructure Community reached a remarkable milestone.
2024 - Parchment acquired: Parchment, the world’s largest credential management platform and network, joined the Instructure fam. KKR acquired said fam shortly afterward, marking a renewed investment in innovation and outcomes across our portfolio.
