Group Product Manager

Teryn is passionate about innovating in edtech in order to improve educators’ and learners’ experiences and outcomes. After more than 15 years in a variety of roles across the K-20 spectrum in U.S. public education, she transitioned to Instructure where she’s been for the last fice and a half years, now currently leading the global Impact R&D Teams and co-leading the EdTech Effectiveness teams as Group Product Manager. She works closely with design, engineering, and end users to ensure that Impact and our other EdTech Effectiveness solutions solve real-world problems in education. She is responsible for the vision, strategy, prioritization, development, delivery, and continued innovation of Impact and EdTech Effectiveness. She grew up in Monroe, NC. She earned a BA in Spanish, Psychology, and Education from UNC-Charlotte as a NC Teaching Fellow, an MIS from NC State University, and is a Doctoral Candidate in EdTech at Boise State University. Teryn has won several awards as an educator, most notably the 2017 NC Online Teacher of the Year. She currently lives in Pinehurst, NC with her husband and four boys.
