Cher Sten

On the first day of every new school year, Mrs Cher Sten says the same thing to the students of her Parkview Elementary K-6 classrooms: “I respect you”.

Mrs. Sten believes her purpose as an educator is to empower young people to become proactive, kind, creative, and productive citizens through the learning experience. She strives to create an inclusive classroom where every student feels safe, validated, and can thrive. 

Mrs. Sten studied Elementary Education at Utah State University. She went on to teach 3rd grade for two years. While working to receive both Gifted and Talented and English as a Second Language endorsements, Mrs. Sten began teaching as a Gifted and Talented Specialist. Last spring, she completed her Master of Fine Arts Teaching degree at the University of Utah and  Integrated Arts endorsement.
