Paul completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Post Compulsory Education (PG Cert-PCE) at the University of Wolverhampton after graduating with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art. He started teaching a foundation degree in Fine Art and then worked as a consultant for the PG Cert-PCE course. During the 15-year period working at the University of Wolverhampton, he has been awarded a Master's in Education: Learning in a Digital Age, has achieved Certified Membership of the Association of Learning Technology (CMALT), and has been recognised as a Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).

Paul is currently an Educational Developer within the College of Learning and Teaching at the University of Wolverhampton. He was one of the leads on the VLE project, which procured Canvas, and is responsible for developing training and supporting the cultural change elements of Canvas and disseminating effective practice. A 'Canvas Advocate,' Paul is passionate about using Canvas and other technologies to support the pedagogical development of academic staff and students. More recently, he has been a lead developer of the PACE project, which is supporting students' Mental Health and well-being while on placement courses.

As Instructure’s Chief Academic Officer, Melissa is a champion for crucial customer-focused topics like data usage and privacy—and it’s her personal mission to drive innovation in our customer experience and enable customers to leverage our solutions in engaging and effective learning environments. Melissa has spent 20 years in educational technology working for a number of technology suppliers and educational institutions, as well as teaching leadership courses on managing technology for educational change. She has a master’s degree in educational policy from Teachers College, Columbia University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Irma Mänty (M.S.Ed.) works as Development Manager of Learning Solutions in Laurea University of Applied Sciences. She has a wide experience in the strategic development of online education and in training teachers both offline and online in higher education. Ms. Mänty has continuously studied the methods of e-learning and digital tools of many international partners for development purposes. Ms. Mänty is working as administrator of several digital tools and her work has been significant when choosing and implementing new digital tools in higher education

Mikael Uusi-Mäkelä (MA) works as a development manager of digital learning at Laurea University of Applied Sciences. He manages a team in charge of the development of digital learning materials and services. He has previously worked in various roles in different international research projects both at Laurea and University of Tampere. He has founded and mentored half a dozen edtech companies and is an expert of game-based learning.

Tryggvi Már Gunnarsson is a project manager in e-learning at the University of Iceland and a Canvas Certified Educator. Working towards providing teachers and students with edtech and skills for a successful e-learning experience.

Minette works at the Swedish Nren Sunet and coordinates different digital learning services for Higher Education. One of those is the LMS-service (Canvas) that is used by 29 institutions. She is also managing the SALSA-network which is Sunets national LMS-network which provides a strong community and arena for good collaboration and sharing of experiences.

Páll Ásgeir Torfason is head of digital learning and media at the University of Iceland. His role includes providing teachers with the right digital tools, implementation, support and strategy

Elisabeth S. Guillot is service manager of LMS at Sikt – Norwegian Agency for Shared Services in Education and Research since 2018. As service manager, she provides national coordination and collaboration for 27 institutions. The national collaboration is a strong community and provides several arenas for sharing of practice and experience.

Carina Bois works at the Unit for Teaching and Learning at Karolinska Institutet, in Stockholm, Sweden supporting teaching staff and administrators to design and create content in Canvas. Carina has worked for many years teaching and supporting staff using technology in education.
