2 Even before the global Coronavirus crisis, the global education market was ripe for digital disruption and growth. Before the pandemic hit, according to analyst HolonIQ, less than 3% of the sector's expenditure was digital, suggesting there was significant potential for transformation in a market expected to reach $10tn by 2030, up from $6tn in 2018. Today, digital learning has become the norm for institutions, as physical campuses have had to keep opening and closing their doors. For Further Education (FE) colleges, this move has helped to fulfil a need that was already there pre-pandemic, by delivering quality education for all - regardless of their location and other responsibilities, like families and work, which may preclude them from physically attending lessons.
