Bethel University has selected Portfolium's Student Success platform to support the Relevant Experiential and Applied Learning (R.E.A.L) Experience, a Bethel initiative providing students with a wide-range of innovative learning activities that will equip them with the skills employers are looking for and give them an edge in the job market.
Portfolium’s ePortfolio technology will allow Bethel students to gain lifelong access to curricular and co-curricular learning artifacts that can be used to reflect on skills as defined by the National Association of Colleges & Employers (NACE). These skill-tagged artifacts can then be leveraged by students to land internship and employment opportunities through Portfolium’s innovative social network and TalentMatch features. Portfolium’s ePortfolios also allow students to host all evidence of competencies and accomplishments in one location, allowing for an unprecedented ease-of-access.
On the ways Portfolium will be used to support the R.E.A.L Experience, Bethel Systems Analyst & Assistant Professor Gary Seaberg explained, “Portfolium will enable student success by providing a professional way for students to display and share their work, accomplishments, and resume when looking for internships and finding their first job.”
The ePortfolio platform is free for students to use for life, following them from their transition into Bethel University, through their entire student lifecycle and beyond as alumni.
"Portfolium is a platform that can be used successfully by students to showcase their work and accomplishments as they progress through Bethel towards graduation and future employment,” said Seaberg.
“At Portfolium, we understand the pressures of achieving success in a rapidly changing world, which is why we know our platform will excel as a primary tool for creating authentic student success at Bethel University,” said Troy Markowitz, Vice President of Academic Partnerships at Portfolium.
