Series Overview

Immerse yourself in four interactive professional development sessions designed to strengthen instructional continuity this fall and beyond. Attend all four sessions to earn a Canvas badge!

Session 1 | Rethink K–12 Education

Reflect on key learnings from the recent transition to distance learning and identify the people, products, and processes that are needed to strengthen instructional practices at every level. Dive into collaborative discussions with other dynamic leaders to define pedagogical protocols that address the current and future challenges of your learning institution(s).

Session 2 | Create Equitable Learning Experiences

Learn how to establish an equitable foundation for digital learning by delivering high-quality instructional content to all students and purposeful PD resources to all teachers. Canvas experts will share how they have leveraged Canvas LMS in their own schools and districts to create consistency, address inequity, increase communication, and meet the individual needs of each student—all with the use of one powerful platform.

Session 3 | Promote Student Growth With Meaningful Assessment

Learn how formative and interim assessments can assist you and your teachers in meeting the needs of every student. You’ll see how MasteryConnect can support your teachers in mitigating learning loss and embracing data-driven instruction. Expert consultants will share their own use cases, along with actionable strategies you can utilize to identify student levels of understanding, target students for intervention, and evaluate teacher efficacy.

Session 4 | Build an Effective Instructional Continuity Plan

Leverage the insights and resources shared with you in the first three sessions to build an instructional continuity plan that addresses the needs of both teachers and students as they prepare to return to school this fall. This interactive session will prepare you to pair the right technology with the proper professional development to support the continuance of learning.
