At our global InstructureCon conference in Denver, Colorado back in July I had one of my favourite days in my 4 years at Instructure. I volunteered for what we call Directional Bodies, basically helping to ensure the safe, smooth and timely flow of 1000’s of people around the large Keystone Resort.

I have to admit, my heart sank when I realised I had to stand on a wall, directing golf carts through a tunnel! So why did this turn out to be such a great experience, why should you care and why did I get the nick-name “crazy tunnel lady”?

The key point is that it reinforced the strength of the partnership between Instructure and our customers (and potential customers). There was a genuine warmth in all the interactions between employees volunteering for ‘jobs’ throughout the conference and the delegates who had travelled across the world to network and experience the utterly unique “Instructure-ness’ which is our relentless drive to make fabulous software and to delight our customers.

The great news is you don’t have to travel to Denver to get the same experience. If you are putting money, time, effort and the success of your organisational strategy in the hands of a future partner you should be checking that their employees are both happy and ruthlessly devoted to supporting you before, during & crucially after your evaluation and procurement process.

Our European Conference, CanvasCon, at the Barbican, London, is going to be a knowledge-packed day focussing on helping 100’s of educators successfully navigate the rapidly changing education environment through digital transformation. You’ll receive information on the latest trends and stats, info about Canvas best practices and sessions from the most amazing customer presenters.

There won't be golf carts, which makes me personally a little sad, but there will be a lot of fun and dozens of employees who are as dedicated to your success as you are.
