Canvas learning management platform has delivered a much improved user experience for teachers and students—its simple navigation is facilitating collaboration, connectedness and better education outcomes. “Teachers are providing students with extra resources and extension activities to progress their knowledge,” explained Morrow. “We’ve also successfully enabled students to click a maximum of two times to get to where they need to go, improving engagement.”
Using the new system has allowed Haileybury to streamline course delivery and foster consistency across classes and year levels.
Teachers are collaborating to develop a “master course” on Canvas, mirroring images for each class using Canvas Columns. “This frees up time for teachers to provide students with more personalised feedback, and it also ensures students have a consistent experience across courses,” said Morrow. “Other educational institutions have connected with us to understand our approach to using Canvas and delivering best-practice programs.”
Additionally, the Canvas cloud solution has removed the need for IT management and support, creating cost savings of more than 33 percent each year.
