The Foundation for California Community Colleges (Foundation) has partnered with Portfolium to offer their Student Success platform to the California Community Colleges through the Foundation’s purchasing program, CollegeBuys. CollegeBuys offers discounts of up to 85 percent on a wide range of educational products, including industry-leading software and technology. Through Portfolium’s agreement with CollegeBuys, colleges can now use Portfolium to help students reflect on learning, assess learning outcomes, measure and certify competencies. and map intentional pathways to careers.
The Foundation and Portfolium partnership is timely as community colleges are looking to increase their effectiveness and make significant gains in the number of students who complete a certificate or degree or transfer, and are employed in their chosen field.
As the only Student Success Network, Portfolium supports the efforts of community colleges by:
- Support traditional and non-traditional student transfers
- Creating clear career guided pathways
- Identifying the hard and soft skills needed to achieve career success
- Reporting on career success for students entering the workforce
Portfolium provides colleges with the resources necessary to easily launch the platform and integrate it with pre-existing technologies such as the Canvas learning management system by Instructure; pre-existing institutional initiatives; and pre-approved procurement policies.
