COVID-19 Resources & Updates Learn More

The timeline of human evolution puts us at approximately 200,000 years old. So why have the vast majority of our technological advancements happened so recently and so quickly? The simple answer is STEM; you know, the study of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

ArmadilloWARNING: Weird things can happen in space.

As a technology company, we’re indebted to STEM for our very existence. Our software engineers use all aspects of STEM to solve problems, envision solutions, and create leading technologies. And now that K-12 Common Core and state science standards are embedded in Canvas, we can do even more to support STEM learning.

To show our love for all things STEM, Canvas has partnered with the nation’s leading provider of STEM programs, Project Lead the Way, to give away 10 space kits to 10 lucky K-12 classes. Why? Because what requires more science, technology, engineering, and mathematics than the exploration of space? Watch this video to learn more.

To apply for a Space Kit and to become part of the Canvas Space Program, submit a 60-second video with your class telling us why you should win. We will send you everything you need to send a camera to space, including your very own GoPro. And who knows? You might just inspire the next Neil Armstrong.

Hurry! The submission deadline is April 18, 2014. We’ll announce 10 winners (and mail out kits) on April 28.

Keep learning,
