A new white paper explores the gap between teacher utilization of the learning management system (LMS) compared to student expectations. The research, from edtech adoption platform and Instructure partner EesySoft, monitored LMS usage from more than two million users around the globe and focused on higher education institutions.

While an EDUCAUSE report states that 99% of institutions and 88% of faculty have adopted the LMS, there remains a perception that using an LMS has not radically changed the practice of teaching. One key argument of the white paper is that institutions need to evolve their tech adoption approaches to achieve true digital transformation.

Other topics include:

  • How edtech continues to grow and diversify
  • New opportunities for impactful learning experiences
  • The emergence of Digital Fluency
  • How autonomous motivation leads to the deepest adoption of edtech
