As a child, we were taught "go to school, study hard, get good grades". But nowhere in that statement is anything about actually learning. And while examinations may be one means to calculate information learned, over the years students have begun to game the system. It's possible to get good grades on tests and still not have learned the actual lesson or information. So now, it's time that we "deprogram" kids from the way they've traditionally treated school. Many schools are no longer places of learning, but places of evaluation. But one teacher is trying to change that, starting with his own classroom.
