Frequent practice, multiple feedback loops, peer assessment, coaching and mentoring, and self-reflection are key elements of reinforcing skill development—and Bridge Practice was built on that very foundation.
At Bridge, we continuously look for ways to better empower sustainable employee development, and we are pleased to announce the release of Practice’s “Closing the Loop” feature, which gives employees another chance to submit a response to their Practice exercise.
How Does it Work?
When assessing submissions, managers now have the option to request a new response from individual employees whose original submissions may need improvement.
Managers must give a reason for requesting a resubmission, and employees will receive an email notifying them that they need to resubmit their response.
When employees are ready to create a new response, they will see a message from their manager detailing why they need to resubmit. If needed, employees also have the option to view their original response for reference.
Managers will receive an email notification when the new response has been submitted and is ready for assessment.
How Will This Help Employees?
At times, employees’ original responses to an exercise may demonstrate they need remediation: additional time or another chance to evaluate their responses, review notes from their manager, practice the skill(s) in question, adjust their behavior, and try again. Resubmitting a response gives employees the benefit of additional practice and more time to reflect on and assess their performance.
The more practice, the better. And more self-reflection leads to effective skill improvement.
Giving employees another opportunity to revisit their responses and improve helps close the feedback loop—and empowers stronger employee development.
