Celebrate the EdTechWomen Salt Lake Chapter with Instructure

EdTechWomen forms a new branch in Salt Lake City

Come celebrate August 23, 2016 at Instructure’s 3rd-floor café, 6330 South 3000 East from 6-8 P.M. MDT.

EdTechWomen is a networked community for women’s leadership in education technology. There are local chapters across the United States and as of August 2016, Salt Lake City will have its own local chapter.

In fact, some of our very own Instructure employees founded the Salt Lake City chapter and will host a special event on August 23, 2016 to celebrate.

EdTechWomen is designed to foster and celebrate women’s overarching influence in education. We encourage anyone who works with educational technology to join us. As educators, consumers, activists, organizational leaders, and mothers, women are often the primary decision-makers when it comes to education. As technology becomes more pervasive in education at all levels and ages, we believe it’s important to develop an inclusive community that fosters an open dialogue about the direction of our field.

We want the event to provide a positive experience for everyone, whether it’s through networking, meeting with other edtech influencers, or enjoying some tasty hors d’oeuvres. We’ll also have a very  talented collection of women leaders from the education technology community participating in a hosted panel discussion. Come listen and learn from Misty Frost, the SVP of Marketing at Instructure, Angela Trego, Faculty in Technology Management at Utah Valley University, Andrea Jensen, the Director of eLearning at Weber State University, Jamie Morningstar, the Principal Product Manager at Qualtrics, and Noel Gomez, a Professional Developer at MasteryConnect.

Please join us on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Instructure’s 3rd-floor café, located at 6330 South 3000 East from 6-8 P.M. MDT.

Pass the invitation along to women and anyone else who may be interested in attending the event. We look forward to seeing you there!
