Explanation Version

You will all receive an email from Canvas letting you know that you have been invited to participate in the online extension of your course using Canvas.

The email will include a link to accept the invitation to participate in the Canvas course. Clicking on the link will take you to the Canvas website where you will have the opportunity to inspect the course before accepting the invitation.

Your professor may be utilizing many of the excellent tools Canvas provides to grade your work in this course. This enables you to get more complete feedback on your assignments, communicate with your teacher and classmates, and allows you to see all your own scores for the course. Canvas keeps your grades private and will only ever disclose them to you.

For your first Canvas course, when you accept the invitation you should select to create a new account. We will use the email address provided by your instructor as your username, so you will only be asked to provide a password and an optional name that we'll attach to your online participation as seen by your teacher and classmates

Access your course anytime at canvas.instructure.com and login with your email address and password.
